Optimize Envelope Engineering has had the pleasure of working with you and your group at Calibre since 2012, and most recently at the Bonavista Condominium complex in South Calgary. The scope of work included attic spaces in two buildings where the original construction defects/deficiencies were, for the most part, inadequate; installation of permanent safety lighting and walkways; plumbing venting, vapor barriers and the repair of fire/smoke barriers, as well as insulation top up. Work was completed with no impact on the residents and everyone on site was professional, polite and clean.

As a very detailed person, I usually find little things that need to be repaired, touched up, or improved. But, to be honest, I couldn't find a single thing – and I was looking hard!
Thank you very much for an amazing store buildout! Our Essentia Calgary store was our 8th store buildout across North America in the last 3 years and, by far, the easiest to put together and best result!
Essentia evaluates its contractor bids using 3 major criteria: Cost, Time & Results. And though all three criteria are evaluated by the bids contractors offer, it is the references received from previous customers that determine our choice. Not only did Calibre put forward the best offer on paper, it was the amazing testimonials from previous contracts that put them over the top. And not only did they not disappoint; they exceeded expectations that were already VERY high.
On the cost side, there was a minimal addition to the original quote. In fact, for the amount of items added to the renovations, I was amazed that the cost hardly increased. Shane and his team did everything to save on other areas in order to accommodate for unexpected additions. In 8 renovation experiences, this was a first!
On the time side, Shane and his team delivered right on time, with a day or two to spare. There were some supplier issues that in most renovations would lead the contractors to extend the delivery date. Calibre took our deadline date as a make-it or break-it date and worked around the clock to ensure that all was done on time. In 8 renovations experiences, this was also a first!
Lastly, but certainly not least, the result of our showroom was sensational! Everything was done meticulously and beautifully, as if Shane and his team were building their own homes. Our project went very well and was on budget. We are extremely happy with the results and have had many compliments on the change to our office. We would not hesitate to use Calibre for any further renovations.
We had the pleasure of working with the Calibre team for renovations to our office space. Our project entailed removing and replacing of all carpets, painting, and removal of some walls in our office space of about 3,300 square feet. This was all done over the course of one workday and the weekend to ensure minimal disruption to our business.
Leading up to the renovation required a great deal of preparation and decision making regarding color and cost of materials. Calibre did a great job of scheduling the appropriate subtrades. Paint was put on the wall to ensure we got the 'big picture' prior to committing to a color which was very helpful and ensured we chose the right color.
Our project went very well and was on budget. We are extremely happy with the results and have had many compliments on the change to our office. We would not hesitate to use Calibre for any further renovations. I highly recommend Calibre for renovations that are completed as planned to a professional office space.

Their quote for the work was very clear and detailed. Responses to our questions and concerns were quick and precise.
Calibre was engaged by the Board of Directors of The Bentley to demolish 8 large brick planters at the front of the buildings and refinish the face of the buildings with new brick. We found them very professional to work with and we are very satisfied with the work that was done.

After awarding the contract to Calibre, the work was carried out on time and in a good workmanlike manner. As minor problems arose during the excavation process, Calibre handled things very well and the small amount of extra billing that we incurred was entirely due to unforeseen events.
We would not hesitate to use Calibre again, and in fact, we plan to call them late this winter to look at other renovations that we have planned. We also do not hesitate to recommend Calibre to others as our experience has been entirely satisfactory.
